Miquido and Scaleway Forge Strategic Partnership to Drive Europe’s Digital Sovereignty and AI Innovation
Miquido, the European software house specializing in enterprise mobile platforms, and Scaleway, the continent’s leading sovereign cloud and AI provider, have announced a strategic partnership. This collaboration establishes a complete European technology stack — combining high-performance AI infrastructure with production-grade software implementation — independent of non-European "Big Tech" providers.
The partnership addresses a critical tension for European enterprises: the ambition to scale AI-driven mobile channels while maintaining strict regulatory oversight.
Digital sovereignty is not optional
For organizations in regulated sectors — including banking, healthcare, public sector and telecommunications — the legal landscape has shifted. Compliance with the AI Act, DORA, and NIS2 requires more than just secure code; it requires infrastructure that is not subject to extraterritorial laws such as the U.S. Cloud Act or FISA.
Scaleway, a 100% European-owned public cloud provider operating under European jurisdiction, offers trusted cloud infrastructure immune to extraterritorial non-EU laws. With a full cloud region in Warsaw, Poland, Scaleway supports digital sovereignty and EU compliance. Its recent selection by the European Commission as one of four cloud providers under the Cloud III Dynamic Purchasing System further confirms Scaleway's ability to meet the sovereignty, security and compliance requirements expected by the most critical and regulated industries. By partnering with Scaleway, Miquido ensures that its clients' data and AI models remain entirely within European jurisdiction.
"One of the key reasons for this partnership is the opportunity to strengthen European technological independence. A significant share of Miquido’s clients operate in regulated sectors such as banking, healthcare, and telecom. That is why independence and compliance with regulations — such as DORA, NIS2, and the AI Act — are not optional, but essential. Scaleway is the only major cloud provider in Europe not subject to extraterritorial U.S. laws such as the Cloud Act or FISA," says Tomasz Gunia, Head of Growth at Miquido.
Bridging the gap between infrastructure and outcomes
Most enterprise AI projects fail at the transition from pilot to production. Success requires two distinct pillars: advanced computing power and the ability to integrate that power into complex business systems.
Through this partnership:
- Scaleway provides the high-performance GPU clusters and sovereign cloud environment required for modern AI workloads.
- Miquido acts as the implementation partner, specializing in the design and delivery of AI-driven mobile platforms that currently serve over 100 million users.
Miquido will support enterprise clients across Europe, with a focus on the CEE region, by defining AI use cases, organizing AI-ready data, and building scalable software that integrates with existing legacy systems.
The economic case for European tech
Beyond technical performance, the partnership supports European economic resilience. Currently, a significant portion of IT spend leaves the continent. In contrast, 68 cents of every euro spent on Scaleway’s infrastructure returns to the European economy.
The two companies will collaborate on joint delivery models and marketing initiatives, offering a unified path for enterprises to achieve technological autonomy while driving measurable business impact — such as increased conversion rates, reduced cost-to-serve, and improved user retention.
