2023 has only just started, and we already have exciting news to share. Today, UX Design Awards Spring 2023 has announced this edition’s nominees, and Miquido is on the list!

In case you have not heard of it, UX Design Awards is a global competition organized by a non-profit design organization that aims at honoring exceptional experiences and presenting UX talent across the world. Since 2008, its jury has been promoting the importance of people-centric design, awarding projects that drive positive change.

Miquido applied with TrainingHub – a mobile application designed to empower the next generation of amateur sports coaches. Its main objective is to provide training to anyone at any time and create a sports community in the app and beyond.

The idea for TrainingHub came from famous NBA Star – Ben Simmons and his company’s co-founders. They wanted to design a solution that would change the game, offering an inclusive space for sports lovers to share their passion for various disciplines and monetize it. The app we helped to develop allows them to see available training slots, sessions, and upcoming events, as well as offer workouts.

Aside from the access to tailored training, users can benefit from the app by becoming a part of an active community of sports enthusiasts that motivate themselves to push their limits. Ranking in the app also serves that purpose, displaying the best training results in a clear, organized manner.

Why was TrainingHub our pick for UX Design Awards Spring 2023 submissions? Above all, this application is one of the most community-oriented projects we have developed recently. Thus, we made user requirements, objectives, and feedback the crucial focal points of the development process.

Having put a strong emphasis on usability testing, we reached out for free exploration and task fulfillment sessions to ensure all the user flows were clear and reflected the members’ needs. We also made sure booking and rearranging sessions in the app would only take a few simple steps. Our NodeJS pattern, which has rearranged the communication within the architecture in backend environments, also contributed to the improved UX while reducing database costs.

We are excited that TrainingHub is among the selected projects and cannot wait to see what the nearest future brings! Changing the UX game is one of our main goals for 2023, so if you want to polish this part of your project or develop a user-centered solution from scratch, drop us a line!
