Let’s face it – we make apps for users to make their life easier or let them have some fun. Money comes second, or sometimes not! You have thought about the app idea, have it designed and developed. The app is on Google Play or App Store and you get some downloads. There is one, built-in to stores ecosystem, a mechanism to interact which you need to be aware of.
App reviews and ratings
This part of app store life time management plays a pretty important role in your app success or failure. It is enough to say that almost 60% people read reviews before app installing. So every second person can be driven to download your app or not.
Although stores search algorithms are a top secret topic, it is known that ratings and reviews are an integral part of those. So it is good to follow Google Play or App Store guidelines. Apple has updated recently their policy and now you are allowed to use their prompt only not more than three times a year. The good news is that this prompt allows to leave a rating without quitting the app and redirecting to App Store. Google Play at the same time introduced splitting rating for games where users can rate a couple of application aspects separately.
